Krang is a personal AI assistant you talk to on WhatsApp. It works in a private browser on its own computer, never on your phone. This page says what Krang keeps, who else sees it, where it lives and how long it stays.
What Krang keeps
- Your WhatsApp number and the messages you exchange with Krang.
- The tasks you ask for, each step Krang took, and the approvals you gave or refused.
- Your settings: name, country, time zone, language, and a hash of your PIN word (never the word itself).
- Logins you choose to save, encrypted, and typed only on the site they belong to. The AI never sees them.
- Screenshots and files from Krang's browser, and the notes you ask it to remember.
- If you connect Google: the email, calendar and Drive content Krang reads when you ask it to.
Google data
Krang's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Krang reads your Google data only to do what you asked. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not read by people unless you ask us to look at a problem or the law requires it.
Who processes your data
Email and calendar content you ask Krang to read is sent to the AI model providers listed below to produce the answer, and to no one else.
- Anthropic
When you ask for them, Krang also sends: search queries to Brave; places and routes to Google Maps; place names to Open-Meteo; and your requests to the services you connect (Google, Microsoft, and the MCP servers you add).
Where it lives
Krang stores and processes your data in the United States. If you live outside the United States, using Krang means your data is transferred there.
Krang browses from a residential IP address in your country. When no local connection is available in your country, Krang browses the web from the United States.
How long it stays
- Approval screenshots: 30 days.
- Files Krang makes or downloads for you: 7 days.
- Messages, tasks and memory notes: until you delete them or your account.
- Backups: up to 35 days.
Disconnecting a service
Disconnecting a service deletes its access token and what Krang fetched from it: tool results and the details of actions you approved. What Krang already told you in chat, your memory notes and files on your workstation stay until you delete them; backups expire within 35 days. Nothing in your account at that service changes.
Deleting your data
Ask us to delete your account and Krang removes its computer, browser profile, saved logins, messages and tasks. One record stays: a keyed hash of your phone number with counts of rule breaches, so an account closed for abuse cannot simply sign up again.
